Teddy Atlas had the fight pretty close going into the final round but Augustus came on strong to knock Rangel down twice before the referee called a halt to the bout.
Posted by b-ruce at February 10, 2006 10:50 PMi watched the fight. Emanuel wasnt so much his usual entertaining self but he was still fun to watch though. I knew he would win. In fact, before the 10th tound began, I told my buddy that Emanuel isnt going to let this go to the score cards....
Good thing for us Augustus won, since he said he'd retire if he lost to Rangel. Come on, boxing! If anybody in this sport deserves a payday before retiring, it's Emanuel.
