weekend n review

So this weekend Roy Jones learned why they say “Never hook with a hooker” (southpaw, same thing). The movie-going public learned who Achilles, Hector and Priam were (albeit, they may have learned from a slightly imperfect, yet entertaining source). My brother wrote an E3 wrap-up for E!online. And I, after being visited be no less than THREE ghosts, learned the true meaning of Spring.

Some thoughts on Troy:
Troy was an interesting interpretation of the classic story.
Grand but cheesy at times, it made for a good summer epic.
Brad Pitt also deserves some praise for the added bravado, swagger and almost Kung-Fu-movie-like stage fighting presence.

4 and a half hours into La Pucelle, and I'm still not sure what I think of it. So if you came looking for the impressions I promised you last week, walk on by. Maybe next week.
