Midnight Basketball?

So, at first I wasn’t mad. I had to do my laundry anyway, and I realize that the poor folks in Sacramento and its outlying areas are two hours behind me. Plus, the game was really exciting. Back and forth action up until the T-wolves took what was at that time perceived to be an insurmountable lead. Rooting for the T-wolves in this series, I even enjoyed the lopsided play at the end of the game. And then the Kings struck back going on a 12 to 2 run in the last minute to force overtime. And although I was frustrated at the T-wolves inability to close the show, what was more exasperating was the fact that it was now 12:30am.

Now I don’t know how they do it out by you, but in my house we work for our money. We work hard for it, honey. And thus, I feel that you had better treat us right. Having to decide between much needed sleep and an exciting NBA playoff overtime game is a raw deal. I had a math final to ace in the morning - I couldn’t risk losing another 30-50 minutes of sleep. And what about those poor fuckers on the east coast? They like the game of basketball. I’m sure they would have loved to have seen that game, especially the kids.

My point is the league shouldn’t force us to stay up all hours of the night to watch playoff games. There are only 4 match-ups left, and with the enormous amount of days off the teams now get between games there should be no need to ever have to air two games on the same night. Weekends are different and I understand that. But these doubleheaders whose late games start at most kid’s bedtimes should stop. How on earth do you expect to cultivate younger fans if you don’t let them see the fucking games!?!

*sigh* Alright I’m done complaining about this, but I don’t want to hear David Stern or any other league honcho or pundit whine about how they’re losing their audience or national interest in this post Jordan world. The bed has been made, lie in it now, bitch.

Nice to see the T-wolves won, too.

Just by surfing around in net I definitely found a very informal place with a lot of good stuff for everybody. I will certainly visit your site again sometime. Really good work.

Yeah, I'll second that. Good call, Jimmy Go.
