A nice way to wait out a Sunday afternoon.

I scored just a few questions shy of the top mark in EW’s pop culture quiz, 84. It was quite challenging but also the trip down memory lane to the not so distant 90’s was quite amusing. While I am quite proud of knowing much of the trivia quizzed, I will admit that it took me a while to remember the name of the third Fugee.

Question most ashamed of missing: Complete this analogy. Ghost is to “Unchaned Melody” as Wayne’s World is to __________.

Question most proud of getting correct: Which Teletubby did Jerry Falwell accuse of “modeling the gay lifestyle”?

Best movie reference in the quiz: “What did David Paymer give you the answers?”

If all be true that I do think,
There be five reasons why one should drink;
Good friends, good wine, or being dry,
iOr lest we should be by-and-by,
Or any other reason why.

to be Bill Gates and write an editorial defending Microsoft against
anti-trust charges, citing economic principles. To complete such an
assignment violates every moral fiber of my body. What should I do?"

The Oracle responds: Well, it seems that you have to make a decision among
two choices. You can blow off the assignment, thus forcing you to fail
EC101, lowering your GPA below the required minimum to keep your
scholarship, causing you to drop out of college and work at McDonalds all
your life. Or you can write a paper that's positive towards Microsoft and
make an 'A'. This seems like a no-brainer to me; I'd choose the first
option without hesitation -- a burger flipper has far more dignity and
self-respect than somebody who utters a positive statement about the Evil
Empire.
