Million
Dollar Baby
Great
performance from Clint Eastwood; decent writing.

Constantine
I'm
a sucker for the "angels and demons walk among us in a
perpetual fight of good versus evil" format, so C already
had a foot in the door. But throw in Keanu in a noir role, a
fetching 40-something Scotish woman as Gabriel, entertaining
performances from most every major actor and stunning special
effects and you've got a real winner.

Sin
City
Visually
stunning, conceptually pleasing. Still I'm probablly the least
most impressed with it among my group of friends.

Revenge
of the Sith
Wraps
up the Star Wars world nicely. I ran back and watched the 3
original films after Sith ended. Obvious cliches can't take
away from the great reveals and set up.

Batman
Begins
Good
stuff, I like the idea of Batman as terrorist ninja. Altho,
the first half of the movie is the real class, the second half
is palletable enough to give the movie a fairly enthusiastic
endorsment.

Howl's
Moving Castle
Probably
the best film I've seen all year (or maybe a hair behind RotS)
so far ($ Baby doesn't count as it was released in 2004). Less
epic than Spirited Away or Princess Mononoke but still has the
charm and spark that is uniquely Miyazaki.

Serenity
Much
like the Cowboy Bebop and Homicide movies, I really really like
movies based on my favorite TV series. Serenity outclasses those
other movies and everything I've seen all year. It's my generation's
"Wrath of Kahn"

Harry
Potter and the Goblet of Fire
I
likes it, but I wonder if I hadn't read the book if it'd have
made a lick of sense.
